Son of Chee Willeto and Lucille “Tah Ha Pah” McCauley Willeto. Served in the 6th Marine division during WWII, in the Pacific Theater fighting in the battles of Saipan and Okinawa.[1] After his service he would eventually serve with the BIA, as a tribal councilman, chapter president of Pueblo Pintado and was appointed vice president of the Navajo Nation in 1998.[2]
