Georgia Beidler Morris enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II.1 She served as a nurse, and worked in both the United States and the South Pacific.1 She continued to serve in the Navy for nineteen years.1
Georgia Beidler was born in Fort Wort, Texas on November 13, 1920 to Elizabeth Tatum and Jerry D. Beidler.1 She entered a nurses training program in Fort Worth, Texas after graduating high school from Trinidad, Texas.1 The program ended just prior to the onslaught of World War II.1 Georgia Beidler met her husband, John A. Morris while stationed in Newport Rhode Island.1 They married on October 6, 1962.2 Upon retiring from the Navy, Morris worked for the State of Rhode Island Department of Health.1
