Joe Ernest Eugene Martinez was born on October 6th, 1945, in Trinidad, Colorado to John and Mary Martinez. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a radio man on the USS Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War.
Martinez, with his wife Diane, lovingly raised four children (2 girls and 2 boys) on a 10-acre farm, where family and friends were always welcome. He opened his home to all who needed a place to stay, and always provided a good hot meal.
Joe Ernest Eugene Martinez passed away on September 18th, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Diane Martinez; along with his four children, Colleen Figueroa, Gina Morales, Gilbert Martinez, and Joe Martinez, Jr. He is preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Jesse.
