José Juvenal Madrid was one of seven children born to Sisto and Senaida Madrid of Chama. José registered for the WWII draft in October 1940. He was drafted on August 17, 1942. Upon his return to Chama, following his service, Madrid worked in the Chama sawmill. He died in Santa Fe in 1989, survived by his wife Leonila, son Gene, and daughters Esther and Agnes.
