Katherine “Pat” [Patterson] Krikorian arrived at Los Alamos in 1943.1 She was one of the first two-hundred military personnel assigned to aid in the Manhattan Project.1

Katherine Patterson was born in Oxford, Mississippi on October 25, 1921 to Icy and Ike Patterson.1,2 Prior to the onslaught of World World War II, Krikorian worked for the Department of State and the Department of Agriculture as a Civil Servant.1 She continued to work for the federal government following the end of the war.1 In 1946, Krikorian met her husband, “Krik”, and they married in 1948.1 She had one child: Debra.1 Upon retiring, Krikorian volunteered at her local church and travelled to six continents.1
