Zephyr Betty Perdue (Berge) served as a Technician 4th Grade for the US Army during World War II.1 Specifically, she served in the Women’s Army Corps. Berge was born to Gasper and Annie Purdue.1 She eventually married Edward Burge and they had four children.1 Following World War II, she worked as an unemployment insurance case officer.1 She spent the last twenty years of her life living in Santa Fe, New Mexico.1
